DEFINITIONS:
“THE EQUIPMENT” shall mean any items hired out by CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS.
“THE CUSTOMER” is the person, organization, firm, corporate or public body hiring the equipment. Any person claiming to act on behalf of the customer shall be bound by the conditions of hire.

PRICES: All prices stated within our leaflet are subject to change without notice and are not subject to VAT.
HIRE CHARGES: Hire charges are for one week or part thereof, and are charged weekly whether or not the equipment is in use. The equipment will be charged for whilst ON HIRE and will not be considered OFF HIRE until it is returned to our premises and booked in. Late returns will be charged for at the weekly rate until the equipment is OFF HIRE.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES: The chargeable times for a site meeting or rigging or striking begins when our operative leaves home and ends when the meeting or rigging or striking and loading of all equipment into our vehicle is complete. If operation of the equipment for a performance is required then time taken to travel to (but not from) the venue will be charged at the normal hourly rate.
PAYMENT: Payment must be made in full within 30 days of the invoice date.
IDENTITY: Customers may be asked to provide proof of identity and address before any equipment can be removed from our premises. A deposit may be required.
WORKING ORDER: All equipment is tested prior to collection and every endeavour made to supply equipment in good working order. All equipment will be deemed to have been accepted in good working order and to the customer’s satisfaction unless CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS is informed to the contrary within 24 hours of collection. CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS shall not be held responsible for any damage or financial loss to the customer arising from the supply of defective equipment.
SUPPLY OF EQUIPMENT: Every endeavour will be made to supply the equipment as ordered. CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS reserves the right to substitute other designs where necessary.
RIGGING/STRIKING: CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS is able to rig & strike the equipment if required. If so required the cost of this will be included on the estimate.
INSURANCE: Hired equipment is insured against third party claims when rigged by CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS, provided it has not been tampered with in any way after rigging. Hired equipment is NOT INSURED by CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS against loss or fire damage and the customer is advised to insure the hired equipment against such risks as the customer is held responsible for all equipment whilst it is ON HIRE. This includes equipment which is in transit regardless of the organisation transporting the equipment for or on behalf of the customer.
CUSTOMER’S LIABILITY: The liability of THE CUSTOMER in the event of loss is absolute, and THE CUSTOMER shall be liable to compensate CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS the full replacement cost for any equipment not returned at the end of the hire period. In the event of loss CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS reserves the right to charge the full standard weekly hire rate until the equipment is paid for in full.

DAMAGE OR INJURY: CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS accepts no responsibility for damage or injury caused by the misuse of hired equipment. Customers should not attempt to service any equipment supplied by CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS. In the event of a fault occurring, the customer should contact CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS immediately.
LAMP REPLACEMENT: THE CUSTOMER assumes responsibility for the replacement of lamps, except those whose electrical failure occurs under normal working conditions. Any faulty or broken lamps must be returned to CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS, otherwise the customer will be charged the full replacement cost of said lamps.
CONNECTORS: All equipment and cables should be used with the connectors supplied. Electrical connectors must not be removed, changed or tampered with in any way. A charge of £5.00 per connector plus the cost of the connector if lost or broken will be made if this occurs. These charges shall not qualify for any discount.
PACKING OF EQUIPMENT: All equipment shall be returned to CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS packed in the correct boxes with all leads and flexes individually coiled neatly. If not so returned a rewinding charge of £2.50 per flex and a packing charge of £2.50 per incorrectly packed box will be made. These charges shall not qualify for any discount.
RETURN OF EQUIPMENT: All equipment should be returned to CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS at the end of the hire period. CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS reserves the right to repossess the equipment at any time. Equipment is considered ON HIRE from the time it leaves our premises until the time it is returned to our premises.
CANCELLATION OF HIRE: In the event of the cancellation of a booking after a confirmation of booking has been received by CHRIS HENLEY STAGELIGHTS, the following charges shall apply: within seven days of the event - 100% of the estimated charges: from eight to twenty-eight days of the event 50% of the estimated charges: from twenty-nine days to three months of the event 25% of the estimated charges.
COLLECTION & RETURN: Equipment should be collected from and returned to our address in Devizes unless by prior arrangement with us.
DELIVERY: Delivery is available by prior arrangement. Delivery is charged at our hourly rate and is not eligible for discounts.
